The Ministry of Commerce announced the Foreign Trade Expectation Survey for the third quarter of 2021.
Accordingly, the Export Expectation Index decreased by 4.4 points in this period compared to the previous quarter. The index, which was 132 in the second quarter, decreased to 127.6 in the third quarter. The index increased by 44.1 points compared to the same period of the previous year.
In the third quarter of the year, the export expectation for the next 3 months, the export order expectation and the evaluations of the currently registered export order level decreased, while the evaluations regarding the export order level in the last 3 months affected the index upwards.
– Import Expectation Index
The Import Expectation Index for the third quarter of this year, on the other hand, increased by 2.9 points compared to the second quarter and became 114.5. The index increased by 32.2 points compared to the same period of the previous year.
Import expectation for the next 3 months, currently registered import order level, and import order level questions for the last 3 months affected the Import Expectation Index in an upward direction, while the assessments on the import unit price expectation decreased.
